September 21: International Day of Peace
Celebrate with us International Day of Peace on September 21! Each year, International Day of Peace is mobilizing millions of people who call for the creation of a culture of peace. Peace is more than the absence of war. It is about transforming our societies and uniting our global community to work together for a more peaceful, just and sustainable world for all. International Day of Peace was created to promote the ideals of peace both within and among all nations and peoples. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called for a Minute of Silence at 12 noon to commemorate the day!
