February 21: International Mother Language Day
On February 21, TakingITGlobal celebrates International Mother Language Day – this day has special significance for TakingITGlobal, as we are the largest multilingual online social network for engaged youth! The day seeks to promote people’s uniqueness and cultural diversity by highlighting their mother tongue. In today’s increasingly centralized world, many languages find themselves on UNESCO’s list of endangered languages. In celebrating Mother Language Day, we aspire to promote a larger awareness of the wide scope and immense richness of the world’s languages. Join us in our celebrations!

Write a TIG Blog in your own language!
What is your mother language? Why don’t you celebrate International Mother Language Day by writing a TIG blog in your own language? You ask, what should I write about? Allow your imagination to soar! Yet, should you need a suggestion why not make languages the topic of your blog? If you speak another language, teach others the basic meet and greet formulas of that language, or reflect about your own mother tongue and what makes it special. By writing a TIG blog in your own mother tongue, you will contribute to what makes TakingITGlobal the most culturally and linguistically diverse community on the Internet!
